Yup. Steve Brill's "Identifying and Harvesting Edible and Medicinal Plants in Wild and Not So Wild Places", Susun Weed's "Wise Woman Herbal", and Euell Gibbons "Stalking the Healthful Herbs". If you're in the west (and I haven't looked yet), Michael Moore's herb guides are surprisingly useful for the city.
Though I'll echo what the herb people said - be careful about gathering stuff too close to the road or too near any industrial pollutants.
Here's a possibility. (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0688114253/qid=1121294824/sr=1-10/ref=sr_1_10/002-0105085-0323234?v=glance&s=books) I haven't read it myself, but I suspect it may be the sort of thing you're looking for.
Someone mentioned avoiding roadsides and industrial sites. I'd also be very careful about any place you don't know well. People spray pesticides, fertilizers, all sorts of crap that may or may not be persistent in the environment. If you're reasonably sure you've found a no-spray area then go to it. There's also about a dozen things you probably have in your backyard -- that would be the best place to harvest since you know what's been going on there.

There's still plenty of good foraging to do!
