I grow peruvianus on a large scale from seed. You probably have read all there is at erowid.org by now so I'll assume you have or will after reading this. I have personal experience with a number of methods. The method of planting in a small pot and putting in a tubberware container and bottom watering is very effective but also very expensive. The method I use now is good but is also the cheapest. I have gladware containers that are 9x9 inches wide and 4 inches deep. These containers are only about 2 bucks for 3 of them. I can plant about 40 seeds 1 inch apart in one of these containers. I use a water bottle with a top that doesnt let out much water so its sort of like a dribble when I water. This overcomes the problem of the young plants falling over when you top water them because they are slow to set there taproot and they are also skinny and only half inch or so tall. If you have never grown plants from seed then it's important to point out when you keep this moist soil in a closed container it will grow fungus and kill the seeds pretty quickly unless you use a fungicide. I just give them one quick spray the when I first plant and that seems to do the trick. Getting them the right kind of light is tricky. They should be kept out of direct sun for about 2 weeks after they first sprout because they are not hardy enough. In the summer I find that they will turn red if they get anymore that an hour of sunlight, this might be pushed to 2 hours during other seasons. I have never really noticed them turning red from too much indirect sunlight. This is more a trial and error thing but you must pay attention to how much sunlight they are getting and figure out the perfect amount for your zone. Thats about all I can add that hasn't been written many times over somewhere else.
