Holistic medicine for pets
Sep. 2nd, 2004 05:12 pmSome of you may know that I'm taking the diploma course to become a Veterinary Assistant. In addidtion to that, I've also started volunteering once a week as an Assistant to a Veterinarian who practices holistic and conventional medicine. I will be doing my 4-week practicum at his clinic, and I hope to be hired on and trained as a Vet Technician in December.
I think it's great that in my program we are being exposed to the holistic view, as it is quite different when it comes to medications, vaccinations, and other things. Once I'm an actual paid employee of the clinic, I am going to try and convince the Vet to get a website up and running (I'd maintain it, he'd just have to pay for a domain name and hosting). If it comes to be I will post a link here.
