This weekend, it is my intent to make some herbal beers with my son. He has been clamoring for me to make ginger beer again, and he wants to try his hand at traditional root beer. I just placed an order for my ingredients if it comes out successfully. In my travels today. I came across a really great website on making your own soft drinks. I thought you all might be interested.

Hey, another brewer, cool. ;) Kemetic?

I've got a book on the subject around here somewhere. . . hah. Sacred and Herbal Healing Beers: The Secrets of Ancient Fermentation, by Stephen Harrod Buhner. I think someone in [livejournal.com profile] homebrewing recommended it a while back.

It's got a lot of information about various plants used in particular brews and what they're used for, and has a goodly few recipes as well.

Figured I'd mention in case someone else was interested. :) I haven't done anything in it yet, so I can't speak to its recipes directly.

Very cool indeed. I intend to try something out of here eventually, but at the moment I'm running a lime-ginger mead through the bottles. :) I'm intending to try a braggot in the future and see what Het-Herw thinks of it, but I've got to get to the supply shop for malt.

Sneaky Kemetics all over the place. ;)
